Varios grupos de trabajadores del sector salud venezolano protestaron este martes a las puertas de 15 hospitales de Caracas, así como en otros del interior del país, para exigir el pago completo de sus salarios.
“¡Queremos pago ya!” o “¡Señor ministro ya basta de burla!”, gritaban los manifestantes, que cerraron por varios minutos algunas avenidas cercanas a hospitales, según fotos difundidas por varios sindicatos del gremio.
Las protestas se desarrollaron, al menos, en 15 centros de salud en Caracas, “debido a que no se cumple el acta convenio que (las autoridades) firmaron el 11 de junio (…) y quieren pagar fraccionado”, dijo a Efe Mauro Zambrano, dirigente sindical.

Zambrano explicó que un trabajador del sector sanitario, “en promedio, gana de 3 a 5 dólares”, depende del cargo, y que con la firma de este convenio con el Ministerio de Salud, ganaría “mas de 30 dólares”.
Ese monto, a su juicio, es insuficiente pero “tienen que cumplir con las obligaciones” porque, agregó, “no se pueden seguir burlando de la gente”.
En la Maternidad Concepción Palacios, en el centro de Caracas, Marisol Carreño dijo a periodistas que no han “parado de trabajar desde que comenzó la pandemia” y resaltó que quieren “un sueldo como lo tiene un diputado en la Asamblea (Nacional, Parlamento). Nosotros no podemos seguir humillados con este salario”.

La protesta fue replicada en otras regiones de Venezuela. En Aragua (centro), el personal de la salud se manifestó en el Hospital Central de Maracay.
La mayoría de los manifestantes eran mujeres, y sostenían carteles con frases de “salarios dignos acordes a la realidad que vivimos”.
Este miércoles tienen previsto realizar una protesta frente al Ministerio de Salud
, en el centro de Caracas, y el jueves podrían declararán de “brazos caídos”, un tipo de huelga durante parte de la jornada que ya usaron los trabajadores del sector salud en los años 1990.
Además, desde que inició la pandemia el personal sanitario ha denunciado las precarias condiciones en las que hacen frente a la covid-19.
El número total del personal de sanidad fallecido en el país a consecuencia del virus es de 683, según el último balance de la ONG Médicos Unidos Venezuela/EFE.
