Secretaría de Salud confirma «graves condiciones» del Hospital General del Sur (Fotos)

Tras el recorrido por las instalaciones del Hospital General de Sur “Dr. Pedro Iturbe”, María Morena, secretaria de Salud de la entidad, confirmó que el centro asistencial que “ha sido referencia en Zulia” se encuentra en “cuidados intensivos” ya que desde el quinto al décimo piso está cerrado y en “graves condiciones”.

“La situación de salud en el estado Zulia está en cuidados intensivos y es por eso que el Zulia en las elecciones pasadas salió a dar un voto, porque le ha tocado sufrir estas calamidades en las que se encuentran los hospitales del estado”, recalcó Moreno.

Al realizar la inspección la comisión subió por las escaleras porque los “cuatro ascensores están completamente dañados e irrecuperables”.

“Nos estamos encontrando con infraestructura totalmente deteriorada, las calderas están dañadas lo que es la parte de esterilización hay que sacarla a otro centro de salud que nos preste el apoyo, una parte del incinerador está dañado”, señaló Moreno al ser abordada por los periodistas luego de realizado el recorrido por el centro asistencial.

Moreno, además, detalló que la emergencia pediátrica y la de adulto no cuentan con ningún tipo de climatización, “los pabellones de la emergencia están cerrados desde hace más de tres años por problemas de climatización, hay hongos en la parte superior por los ductos. Tenemos muchos problemas de infraestructura, no tenemos rayos x, pues la máquina está dañada”, precisó la secretaria de Salud.

La doctora recalcó que se inició con la limpieza del General del Sur, logrando recolectar seis toneladas de desechos biológicos que estaban en el patio del hospital, en un trabajo mancomunado con la dirección de Salud de Maracaibo y San Francisco.

Tienen planificado hacer “un plan periódico sobre lo que es la recolección de desechos sólidos, saneamiento, maleza, fumigación”.

Con respeto al tiempo que tardará la recuperación del centro médico, Moreno destacó que hay que hacer un plan de trabajo que inició con la parte de evaluación que ya está montada con el área de emergencia.

Entrega del Oncológico

La secretaria de Salud enfatizó que están a la espera de la entrega formal del Oncológico “Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán”, ubicado dentro de las instalaciones del Hospital General del Sur. Explicó que la secretaría saliente entregó el instituto a la Procuraduría del estado Zulia y esta lo pasó a la comisión de enlace. “El Oncológico pertenece a la Secretaría de Salud y está dentro de nuestro organigrama”.

Explicó que la secretaría de Salud es el ente que siempre ha tenido al mando los hospitales y centros ambulatorios y clínicos del estado Zulia.

“No tenemos ningún oficio donde diga que Omaira es Autoridad Única de Salud ratificada”, destacó.

Moreno también manifestó que esperan el traspaso de Epidemiología para reforzar el plan de vacunación contra la COVID-19, “porque como lo venimos diciendo hay un repunte de casos por la feria, elecciones…Hay que reforzar la vacunación”.

Sin unidad de diabetes

La doctora denunció que la unidad de diabetes que atendía más de mil 700 personas al mes está sin funcionar, porque al instituto “Dr. Roberto Gutiérrez” le robaron los aires acondicionado. “Es lamentable que nuestros pacientes diabéticos hoy no cuenten con ese instituto.

Apuntó que desde la Gobernación de Zulia pedirán ayuda internacional para recuperar los centros hospitalarios del estado.

“Aquí (en el Hospital General del Sur) también funcionaba el instituto cardiovascular donde se colocó el primer marcapaso gratuito y está en las mismas condiciones que Infodiabetes.

Moreno está convencida que lograrán que los centros de salud de la entidad “sean los que fueron en la gestión anterior del gobernador Manuel Rosales”.
