Destruyen estatua de un exdirigente político antitalibán en Afganistán

La estatua de Abdul Ali Mazari, un político de la minoría hazara que murió estando preso por el régimen talibán en los años 90, fue parcialmente destruida en la ciudad de Bamiyan, en el centro de Afganistán, informó un habitante el miércoles.

“La estatua fue destruida con explosivos”, dijo a la AFP este habitante, que quiso permanecer en el anonimato. “No sabemos quién lo hizo pero hay grupos de talibanes aquí, incluidos algunos bien conocidos por su brutalidad”, afirmó. Los explosivos hicieron que la estatua quedara decapitada.
