Para blindar la seguridad en el municipio, el alcalde Rafael Ramírez Colina anunció la aplicación del Plan “Maracaibo 365” en el acto de grado de la V Cohorte de oficiales de Seguridad Ciudadana “José Félix Ribas” que encabezó, la tarde de este miércoles 16 de marzo, en el parque Vereda del Lago.
“Tenemos el firme propósito de brindarles la seguridad que necesitan para vivir plenamente en esta ciudad. Queremos una Maracaibo para vivirla, para disfrutarla, soñarla y juntos reconstruirla”, expresó al darle la bienvenida al nuevo grupo de funcionarios a las filas de Polimaracaibo.
Explicó que “Maracaibo 365” es un plan diseñado para trabajar en la seguridad de las 18 parroquias los 365 días del año, con oficiales comprometidos para proteger al municipio y con una Alcaldía que brindará las herramientas, la tecnología y la infraestructura necesaria para desarrollar acciones que serán garantía de protección y resguardo de nuestra ciudadanía.
Detalló que integra tres acciones claves: la activación de la Brigada Ciclística de Polimaracaibo, un proyecto de Control y Dirección Vial, y la adquisición de motos y patrullas para dotar al cuerpo policial municipal.
Vigilancia en parques y plazas
La Brigada Ciclística de Polimaracaibo se encargará de la vigilancia de puntos como plazas, parques y las ciclovías naturales de la ciudad para garantizar así la seguridad de cada marabino que hace uso de estos espacios.
“Con 50 nuevos oficiales esta brigada se desplegará en los puntos emblemáticos de la ciudad», informó el director de Seguridad Ciudadana, David Barroso.
El director de Polimaracaibo, Jorge Soto, mencionó que algunos lugares en los que estarán asignadas las unidades son: el corredor vial de 5 de julio, Plaza de la República, y el parque Vereda del Lago.
Control y Dirección Vial
“Esta ciudad ha perdido el respeto por la señalización y por la semaforización; ahora, nos corresponde a todos cumplir con el respeto de las normas. Vamos a dedicar todo un mes de educación vial”, anunció la autoridad municipal como parte de la aplicación del Plan “Maracaibo 365”.
Sobre el proceso de reeducación vial, el director de Seguridad Ciudadana precisó: “Vamos a estar el primer mes en las diferentes intersecciones, haciendo los llamados de atención, educando al ciudadano recordándole que tiene que respetar las normas de tránsito”.
Luego de este proceso, “a partir del 15 de abril se comenzará a sancionar a los infractores”, anunció el alcalde Ramírez.
El director de Polimaracaibo describió que esta fase del plan estará aún más presente en los sectores que tienen concurrencia de accidentes viales. “Se tendrá una planificación que identificará los lugares estratégicos, la vialidad y la forma de la distribución del pie de fuerza”, detalló.
Adquisición de más motos y patrullas
David Barroso, director de Seguridad Ciudadana, puntualizó que se adquirirán 10 nuevas unidades radiopatrulleras y 20 unidades motorizadas para activar un patrullaje vial completo.
Esta acción intensificará la presencia de los funcionarios de Polimaracaibo en la ciudad.
De esta manera, “vamos unidos, de manera progresiva, atendiendo los requerimientos de cada uno de nuestros cuerpos de seguridad y estos, a su vez, están sirviéndole responsablemente a los marabinos”, destacó el alcalde Ramírez Colina.
